I am calling this post welcome home because I want you to feel like you are home. Silly girl, you say - "it is not my home". This place is not only my home but it is my sanctuary. 9 years ago when we bought this property everyone thought we were crazy. We were leaving our home of 15 years, where we raised our children, and moving to a property with no habitable house and so much work ahead of us. The first moment I stepped onto this property I felt like I was home. Surrounded by trees and creeks and all of the comforts of nature, I had come home. I knew this was a huge part of my journey but I had no idea what would develop.
Never in a million years would I have thought that this would become a sanctuary for so many. My goal is to open this space to others so they can have a safe space, a place that feels like home. It is a safe space for my animals and as a result Barney out of the Barn can be a place where you can heal, get quiet, get present and and just be.
